where’s my video?

i just saw a tweet from jarobi today . he wrote, “20 years since the fall of the Berlin wall. I was lucky enough 2 witness it 1st hand! Me and the guys were on our 1st european tour….”.
wow!!! kind of surreal to be there during a pivotal moment in history and for the first time. i had a lot of fun on that tour. we ate enough bread to last a life time. that’s what happens when you don’t know the good places to eat. Germany and the world has never been the same.
we also shot a movie of our first time in europe. it is called “The Art Of Moving Butts In Europe”. if you can find it, you will witness us in our infancy stage. we learned a lot on that tour.
but back to the headline: while on that tour i shot a lot of background and personal footage our life. after we recorded midnight marauders, JIVE RECORDS asked if we had any video footage that they could use to put together a marketing package for the “jack the rapper” convention. i loaned several of my video tapes to the label of which they assured me they would be returned. months after the campaign i asked the “label rep” who i will call “d” just for this blog, for the return my videos. he said they didn’t have them. i asked for an explanation which at that time he could not give one but later i was told they went to management. if you know me you know i searched Violator Management high and low looking for MY VIDEO. no one there ever received it. i know deep down inside it was never sent to them and the mystery is still within Jive/BMG/SONY.
SO, if someone accidently put it in an unlabeled box or it was in the back of a file cabinet or you just plain stole my S*!T, I want it back OK!!! Tear down these walls of silence and return my tapes….
